Something is afoot in the world of fiction. We have androgenic fiction, we have new wave fiction, we have neo-decadence, we have post-transgression. After the great literacy bifurcation, for those few who retain the ability to read, the future is grimbright...
Men in black pajamas with license to kill and the power of the state behind them have been hunting and killing Muslims with bad intentions for almost 30 years and they’ve gotten quite good at it. The lack of Islamic terror attacks and the assimilation of Asians or any other group are not analogous. But otherwise fun stuff here…
Came here to say this. Consider that almost every single person who was affiliated with ISIS in 2015 is dead or rotting in a cell for the rest of their lives. The malcontented element among Muslims has been subject to a brutal selection filter.
There will never be a world where equality vs inequality will be settled. I know it's cool to hate egalitarians in Nietzschean circles, but I think that there's a flattening going on here. These two terms are too dyed by political motives in our times. Monkeys have hierarchy. Monkeys have "alphas." It's not that special. The more important question is what type of hierarchy, and what type of person does it produce? I hate to burst the bubble of Nietzschean aristocrat larpers and elitists, but chances are, you are just some guy without much influence at all on historical events. You probably have no political authority, but assuming the perspective of an elite, while in fact being a pretty common type of person, really to me has roots in peasant-like self-deception. What do peasants do? They historically have been obedient to the powerful. This is slave morality. What appears as high taste can really be a sophisticated form of submission through self-deception.
Now imagine, in this potential future scenario where the elites have concentrated all the power and no longer even need the lower? What position are you honestly going to be in in this scenario? If you are not in the position of the elite, yet you adopt the perspective of the elite, then you will simply rationalize whatever the Elon Musks of the world are doing, even if it will be to your own destruction. I cannot respect this type of cowardice. In fact, I think that some of the next forms of heroism might in fact be an uprising and a challenging of the tech elite monopoly by the vital, rising type of common man who has a sense of intrinstic confidence, and the value of his own life, and that of his family, his friends, and others like himself as something worth preserving and fighting for. What is often called "equality" really isn't about equality at all, it's the fighting spirit of the common type refusing to be dominated, much in the way a cat refuses to be put in a paper bag. Where this sort of rebellious vitality is lacking, replaced instead with some overly intellectual aesthetic value of "hierarchical quality," while one's family and friends are living in squalor, I do not find anything courageous in that. I see a type of man who needs society to affirm his life's worth, because he has not yet found it worth affirming. The higher type of man is capable of killing one who attempts to put him in a spiritual body bag, and this can very well be the type of deed in which the common man becomes noble. Of course there's nothing inherently noble about that extreme, but being unwilling to do such a thing if it is what must be done is a failure of the common to become anything more than what he is.
Great ep, but you really ought to have on (and read) @philippebridau to counterweight all of this accelerationism hype. You’ll also have lots to talk about regarding Nietzsche and such.
Great conversation. Incel is a great book.

Haha love it. “Brutal selection filter” would make a great band name.

Saving this to listen to later. ARX-Han always has an interesting perspective

Gonna listen to Russell blackpill me as I fall asleep. Raping my fragile psyche. What could possibly go wrong?
